AAT – Multiroom PMR – driver Control4

Driver for integrating AAT PMR multiroom amplifiers, all models, with Control4 over Ethernet or RS-232 serial. The multiroom appears as an audio matrix: each PMR zone is bound to a room in the project, with input selection, volume, mute, bass, treble and balance.

It includes a logarithmic volume mode, which compensates for the PMR only becoming audible near half volume, and a maximum volume limit per zone.

Installation

  1. Add the ZoomDH – AAT Multiroom PMR IP/RS232 driver to the project in Composer Pro.
  2. Over the network, fill in IP Address and, if needed, TCP Port (5000 or the port configured on the panel). Over serial, bind the RS-232 connection to the controller serial port.
  3. In the Connections tab, bind the sources to the inputs and each zone to its room.
  4. Adjust Volume Control Mode and the maximum volume of each zone.

Features

  • Audio zone control: on/off, volume and mute
  • Switching of the 4 matrix inputs (analog and digital) to the zones
  • Streaming inputs 7 and 8 and virtual optical connections
  • Configurable maximum volume per zone
  • Linear or logarithmic volume mode
  • Bass, treble and balance adjustment from the user interfaces
  • Real device state feedback, including changes made outside Control4
  • Supports the PMR6, PMR7 and PMR8 models

Requirements

  • Multiroom firmware 1.13 or later
  • Multiroom with a static IP or DHCP reservation (TCP ports 5000 or 1024), or an RS-232 cable

Release notes

  1. 20261014

Driver rewritten on the current ZoomDH libraries, without the old AVSwitch library. Fix: when the multiroom sent several replies together, only the first was handled and volume, mute and input feedback was lost. A reply outside the expected format no longer discards the following ones. Minimum firmware check fixed (1.9 was accepted as newer than 1.13). New licensing library, with a 30-day trial. HTML documentation (PT/EN).

  2. 211

Turning zones on and off now uses mute instead of standby, at AAT's request.

  3. 210

Volume Control Mode property (linear or logarithmic).

  4. 209

    Changed the standby/mute command.

  5. 208

Bass and treble in Navigator from OS 3.2.3.

  6. 207

    Fixed the streaming input index.

  7. 206

    RCA output connections.

  8. 205

Streaming inputs 7 and 8 and maximum volume per zone.

  9. 204

Fixed Zone 1 feedback in Composer.

  10. 203

Turns the multiroom off when all zones are off, configurable TCP port and zone IDs compatible with Composer 3.x.

  11. 202

    Fixed the digital input index.

  12. 201

    Fixed PULSE_VOL_UP and PULSE_VOL_DOWN.

  13. 200

    Support for PMR6, PMR7 and PMR8 models.

  14. 102

Virtual optical connections on all inputs.

  15. 101

Fixed standby when turning zones off and on again; firmware 1.10 commands.

  16. 100

    Initial version.
