Samsung Wi-Fi AC (SmartThings) – driver Control4

Driver that integrates Samsung Wi-Fi air conditioners with Control4 through the official SmartThings cloud API. It works with the WindFree line and the other models listed in the SmartThings app.

Each air conditioner shows up in Control4 as a native thermostat, created automatically and ready for Navigator, scenes and programming. The driver icon opens an interface with the features the thermostat lacks: WindFree, display LED, beep, current power and accumulated energy, with colors that follow the mode.

The package has two drivers:

  • ZoomDH Samsung SmartThings Gateway: SmartThings account, discovery, polling and WebView interface
  • ZoomDH Universal Thermostat: one per air conditioner, all on the same gateway connection

Installation

  1. Add the Samsung SmartThings Gateway driver to the room where the thermostats should be created
  2. Enter the key in License Key (the driver has a 30-day trial)
  3. Open the Setup Page URL address, tap Open authorization and sign in with the customer’s Samsung account
  4. Run the Discover Devices action: the gateway creates and binds one Universal Thermostat per air conditioner
  5. Move each thermostat to the right room and refresh the Navigators

Features

  • Discovers the air conditioners in the account and creates, binds and names one Control4 thermostat for each
  • Native thermostat in Navigator - power, modes, fan speed (including Turbo), setpoint, temperature and louver position

Requirements

  • Air conditioners already added to the SmartThings app, in the customer's Samsung account
  • Control4 controller with internet access
