The UniFi Network Gateway driver integrates UniFi Network with Control4. It authenticates on the console with a local account, discovers the registered devices (switches, access points and gateways) and creates a child driver for each one.
Besides monitoring device state, the driver exposes the site’s networks (VLANs) and Wi-Fi (SSIDs) as connections, so they can be enabled or paused with the UniFi Network Control button.
Installation
- On the UniFi OS console, with Owner/Super Admin permissions, go to Admin & Users > Create New
- Create an Admin user with “Restrict to Local Access Only”, setting a Username and Password
- Uncheck “Use a Predefined Role” and set Network to Site Admin or Full Management
- In Composer, fill in “IP Address”, “Username” and “Password” in the driver
- Run the “Auto Install Network Device Drivers” action to create the child drivers
- Bind UniFi Network Control buttons to the desired NETWORK/WIFI connections
